Oct. 2009, Schwarzer Kanal (Berlin)
I curated and moderated a queer live performance cabaret that protested against the S.K. wagonplace’s imminent eviction from the banks of the Spree. Numerous performers warmed the chilly Autumn air with queer and radical messages of song, dance, sweat, costumes, blood, and puppetry.
I also performed (in homage to Yoko Ono), a ‘cutpiece’ of cardboard skyscrapers that had “gentrified” my body. I invited audience members to come up to the stage and cut pieces of the skyscrapers off of me.
